I recently participated in a military ceremony on base. It is a very humbling experience. It makes you really reevaluate things. It's the proudest I've ever been. To be able to participate in a small ceremony to honor a fallen soldier on his way back to the country he died for. The sacrifice is amazing. It hurts to think that just a few days ago he was thinking like the rest of the military here..."R&R soon"...only he is going home forever. The country would be a much more respectable place, if only every American could attend or participate a funeral or ceremony for one of the fallen.

I'm glad you were able to be part of that. We used to participate in and see a lot of Patriot Duty on the flightline. I think its an important thing to do if given the chance.
