I wanted to let you all know that I have signed a new contract with my
company. It started Nov 6 2007 until Nov 5 2008. During this time I will
get some R&R (vacation) where I will have 2-4 weeks off. I haven't
decided what I would like to do with this time yet.
I know some of you aren't happy with this decision. And I hope you know
that I do understand that. Being here is NOT THAT BAD.
By no means have I decided to stay here to upset anyone. Please know
that when I originally came out here, I had it set in my mind that I
would be here for a year. I have planned for this and knew that there
was a very high possibility that I could/would stay.
Please understand that this is my decision and my choice. I apologize if
this decision has upset anyone. I am very safe here. I have met many
goals for myself in the short 4 months I have been here. I have run a
half marathon and the Army 10-miler, I have lost weight and gained
muscle, I have meet some amazing people here who will have a place in my
heart and life forever because of the experiences we have shared here.
So please take this as lightly as you can, and know that I am happy and
safe.

no apologies needed for us, as long as you're happy (and safe) - we are happy. of course, we'd love for you to be home but you can only do what's right for yourself, so best of luck through out your next year and we look forward to seeing you in 08! love you girl!
I am glad you are staying to do what you feel is right. I totally get what it is like to want to stay. We were extended with the posibility of staying even longer, and once they said it was not happening, I think we were all a litttle bit disapointed. Although I am not allowed to broadcast those feelings at home...people that have been there understand. Be safe!
